The King of the Ring Tournament went like this:
Quarter finals:
Angle beat Y2J after Stephanie interfered. Y2J Kissed steph and whilst distracted curt got the Olympic slam and won.
Crash Holly beat Bull Buchanan much to his surprise after crash rolled him up and got the 1.2.3.
Val Venis beat Eddie Guerrero.
Rikishi beat Benoit by DQ as Benoit hit Rikishi with a chair and locked in the crippler cross face after the match
Semi Finals:
Kurt Angle beat Crash Holly
Rikishi beat Val Venis
Final:
Kurt Angle beat Rikishi to become the 2000 King of the Ring
KING OF THE RING 1999
Other matches:
4-team tag title elimination match
Edge and Christian won over Too Cool, T&A and Hardyz to become new tag team champs.
T&A were eliminated first followed by Hardyz leaving the champs v Edge and Christian but Too Cool ended up losing the Match and belts.
Hardcore evening gown match
A strange but entertaining match with Pat Patterson and Gerry Brisco dressed in Brag. Both had equal opportunities during the fight and Crash Holly came down and nailed Patterson with a dustbin and won his belt back to become hardcore champion.
Table/Dumpster Match
DX v Dudley’s – Dudley’s lost but still got what they wanted after Tori got put through a table with her name on it. DX put Dudley’s in dumpster but they got out before the ref saw and then the Dudley’s set up tables and put X-Pac and Road Dogg leaving just Tori to go through she hid in the dumpster and when the Dudley’s went to Look DX hit them with chairs and they fell in allowing DX to get the win. After the match the Dudley’s got the 3D on X-Pac and Road Dogg allowing them to proceed and put Tori through the table.
6-man tag team match for WWF Title
Match started well and the Rocks team functioned well until the Undertaker pinned Shane after Chokeslam but Rock broke the pin, The most of the match went with the Rock, Kane and Undertaker fighting each other and the faction outside the ring, Undertaker put Shane through the table and inside the ring the Rock got the 123 on Vince after the Rock Bottom to become WWF Champ once again. Triple H left in shock and the Rock went on to celebrate and hit Vince with the Belt
